The Center for Specialized Services is Hiring a Human Resources Administrative Assistant Near St. Louis, MO

TITLE: Human Resources Administrative Assistant

JOB CLASSIFICATION: Full Time - 40 hours a week Non-Exempt

JOB PURPOSE: To provide administrative support for the agency.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform reception duties (40%-60% of the time); including answering phones, directing calls and greeting visitors and clients in a professional manner. Maintain visitor and volunteer sign-in logs while on reception duties.
  • Assist with all agency records to include filing and scanning.
  • Receive packages and mail and distribute appropriately.
  • Download and distribute faxes.
  • Assist employees with copier usage and issues.
  • Maintain the lobby and copy/mail room areas.
  • Work and communicate in a professional manner.
  • Maintain clean and orderly environment.
  • Familiarize self with and follow Agency Policies and Procedures.
  • Assist with benefits administration including scheduling, preparing and assisting with employee educational sessions.
  • Assist with recruitment tasks for securing qualified personnel, including following up on details or securing missing information.
  • Assist initiating the hiring process including job offer, background screening and any additional required processes. Create and revise job descriptions.
  • Conduct monthly safety team meetings.
  • All other tasks assigned by supervisor.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

  • EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent. General clerical and Human Resources knowledge preferred. Excellent computer and communication skills required including Microsoft Excel.
  • MISCELLANEOUS: Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time; reach, bend and/or stoop; lift and carry up to 10 pounds.
